We treat patients with complaints ranging from discomfort from coughs and colds, trauma such as fractures to serious conditions such as chest pain and acute infections.

Our Emergency departments use the Canadian Triage System in which patients are assessed according to urgency of their case. This ranges from number one (requiring immediate care) to number five (non-urgent). This system ensures that those in a serious condition receive priority care, however we do endeavor to ensure that all patients are seen as quickly as possible. The average length of stay in the unit is approximately one hour, although this will vary depending on the severity of your case and the number/severity of other cases which are being dealt with at the same time.
